Posters are an opportunity to share research projects and results, poster sessions are a visual presentation where presenters discuss their SDT research and where attendees can ask follow-up questions of the presenter. Posters will be attended by the entire conference, and the co-founders of SDT and SDT experts will be present at each session.

Poster Guidelines

When Do I Present?
See the link to the "Poster Presentation Schedule" above to determine the date and time of your poster session.

How Long?
Poster sessions are for 1 hour and 45 minutes and are scheduled during the lunch breaks on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please get your lunch and bring it back to your poster. We ask that the first author be present at the poster to answer questions for conference participants.

What is the Size?
Dimensions of the Poster Boards are: 4 feet (48 inches) high x 6 feet (72 inches) wide.
NOTE:
Your poster size does NOT HAVE to be this large - you can print a smaller poster - as long as it fits within the parameters of the poster board.

You will be able to hang your posters using Velcro or push pins. We will provide these for you.

Can I Ship or Print My Poster On-Site?

Yes. There is a FedEx Office on-site at the Renaissance hotel.

For more information please click here for the on-site FedEx website.

What is the Format?

The standard elements of posters include: Introduction; Methods; Results (with supporting figures); and a Conclusion or Summary.

For those who have not yet created a poster presentation, we encourage you to visit these websites to help you in organizing your presentation:

Some presenters choose to bring a 1-page print out of their poster so that they can hand it out to interested conference participants. However, it is not necessary to provide reprints or summaries. You may instead choose to take down names and emails of conference participants interested in your work and email them a summary (this method saves trees!).
